If you’ve been asking yourself that question, then we have an event for you!
We’ll be bringing in Dr. Scott Anderson, director of undergraduate studies at the Department of Philosophy, to explain the requirements for, and intellectual advantages of, pursuing a philosophy degree. Alongside him will be a representative from UBC’s Allard Law school, who will be speaking on the admissions process and the experiences of philosophy majors; and philosophy graduates who have since pursued careers in medicine, journalism and academia.
Each panelist will give a brief statement on the topic, before opening up the floor for questions from the audience.
February 11th, 5pm-6pm, Irving K Barber Dodson Room — Free food and drink provided!
